This avocado lime ranch dressing is a delicious dressing or dip that’s perfect for salads, crudite, and wings. It’s got a southwest kick to it with ground spices, has a smooth and rich mouthfeel from the avocado, mayo, and sour cream, and has just the right amount of punchiness from the lime.
It’s important that you eat this dressing or dip the same day you make it, as it loses some of its freshness the next day.

Chef Tips:
- Eat this avocado lime ranch dressing the SAME day you make it. Other sauces, dressings, and dips can hold well, but I find since this dressing has avocado, the flavor changes the following day. If you’re looking for a similar flavor profile, but to meal prep throughout the week, I recommend making my green goddess ranch and modifying it with the addition of the onion powder, ground cumin, and paprika.
- Don’t skip the mayo or sour cream. It makes for a really nice mouthfeel, flavor, and texture. If you want mayo and dairy free dressing, try some of my creamy, no-dairy sauces here.
What to eat this with:
- Southwest inspired bowls or salads
- Veggies! Love a combo of freshly cut carrots, celery, Persian cucumbers, and radish.
- Wings, chicken nuggets, quesadillas
